As Moove expands into the autonomous vehicle space, the company remains committed to its existing customers in emerging markets. The company will continue to offer its flagship product, Drive-to-Own (DTO), which helps underserved mobility entrepreneurs gain access to vehicle ownership and help them achieve business success.
Autonomous vehicles promise a transformative future in which inefficiencies, safety concerns and environmental issues of traditional mobility systems can be addressed. According to the World Health Organization, traffic accidents claim around 1.19 million lives every year, making them one of the most common causes of death worldwide. Shared autonomous mobility solutions offer a unique opportunity to reduce urban traffic congestion, increase safety and develop more sustainable cities. Moove’s expertise in fleet management will help Waymo focus on advancing the innovative Waymo Driver technology while providing safe, reliable and sustainable experiences for drivers.
Ladi Delano, co-founder and co-CEO of Moove, comments: “Travel arranging has fundamentally changed urban mobility over the last 15 years, but the core business has remained largely unchanged. Waymo’s safe, reliable and convenient Waymo One service is at the forefront of autonomous technology, and together we are driving meaningful change in urban mobility. We are proud to partner with Waymo and bring our operational expertise to enable this transformation.
We know that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mobility. As we expand into the autonomous vehicle space in the U.S., we remain committed to our customers around the world, where we will continue to offer our unique financing solutions to underserved mobility entrepreneurs.”
