Millstätter business talks put performance culture to the test

With 30 experts from 5 countries: including former BM Gerhart Baum, FFG CEO Henrietta Egerth-Stadlhuber, philosopher Anders Indset and Mayor Boris Palmer about the future of performance

Vienna (OTS) From April 17th – 20th, 2024 it’s that time again: Austria’s most personal economic discussions will make Millstatt the hotspot for leading business networks for the eighth time. This year’s main topic moves and concerns decision-makers in business and politics: it is about the interaction between “performance culture and location success”.

Rethink performance culture

“International competition is increasingly also a competition of performance cultures. While other locations in the world cultivate and develop their performance cultures in a disciplined manner, Austria and Europe prefer to discuss work-life balance, new work approaches or reduced working hours. But we have to rethink performance and performance culture.”emphasize the initiators of the Millstätter Economic Discussions, Prof. Alfons Helmel and Markus Gruber.

Securing location quality and prosperity

At the eighth Millstätter Economic Discussions, together with around 30 top-class experts from five countries, they will discuss “performance” in a variety of subject contexts – and discuss concrete strategies for sustainable performance cultures that ensure location quality and prosperity. This year, the core program will once again be accompanied by exciting side events from the network partners. “On Friday, the speakers will be available to the participants in the “Power Talks” in an intimate setting – my personal highlight and a real unique selling point.”initiator Markus Gruber is looking forward to the eighth edition of the Millstätter Economic Discussions.

Highly interesting speakers

The group of speakers does justice to the diversity of the topic: including Gerhart Baum, former Federal Minister of the Interior. D., Henrietta Egerth-Stadlhuber, Managing Director FFG, Matthias Ehrhardt, Institute for Talent Development Boston, Anders Indset, economic philosopher and author, Beatrix Karl, Chairwoman of the Austrian University of Education, Patricia Neumann, Managing Director Siemens Austria and Boris Palmer, Mayor of Tübingen .

Business. Personal. At the Millstätter Economic Talks

The Millstätter Economic Talks stand for “a lot of depth, a lot of networking, a lot of impact”, say the co-initiators, and is also a meeting of Austria’s most important business and competence networks. With the Millstatt Business Talks, the now 15 partners and the state of Carinthia are enabling an innovative, personal business format for new perspectives and of course a unique network for the eighth time. For the participants, economics is more than just numbers, but a system of values.
