The Austrian army, the state of Salzburg and ORF have invited numerous music-loving visitors to the Salzburg Arena for the 2025 military music festival in the Salzburg Arena in the past two days. The festival offered a public dress rehearsal on May 7, 2025 and on May 8th the festive performance – both evenings became an extraordinary musical experience for young and old. The program led Romy Seidl and Norbert Oberhauser.

The visitors experienced a brilliant show with over 600 musicians from home and abroad. In addition to the eight Austrian military music, the military band Olomouc from the Czech Republic, the Central Orchestra of the Hungarian Defense Forces and a project orchestra of the Salzburg brass band. Together they offered an impressive insight into the musical world of the army.

The 2025 military music festival was opened with the work “So Zarathustra” by Richard Strauss. A musical and optical fireworks guaranteed extra -class music enjoyment. Military musicians from home and abroad presented well-known hits from 70 years of music history together with civilian musicians from the Salzburg area. The soprano Celina Hubmann, Hornist Felix Klieser and a member of the Trapp family were present as special guests.
