“The fact that there is a large support for this music direction in Austria was documented by concerts and festivals, only on the radio there has been no offer for die-hard fans. The now available, pleasing radiot evaluation confirms that this concept is sustainable and is to be expanded. An extension via DAB+ to other federal states is currently being considered,” said RTG managing director Gernot Fischer.
Metal Radio belongs to the successful radio technology family, which also produces the programs Radio One-the new Hitgarantie (nationwide via DAB+) and City Jazz (DAB+ in the Vienna area). In addition to the broadcasting programs, RTG Radio Technikum GmbH also operates the DAB+ Multiplex for Vienna and is one of the pioneers of digital terrestrial radio distribution in Austria.
