A new way
Vienna (OTS) – Merz Pharma Austria GmbH announces the founding of Merz Aesthetics Austria GmbH from July 1, 2024. The pharmaceutical company is thus taking a significant step towards strengthening customer needs and agility within society. Merz Aesthetics GmbH will operate as an independent company, whereby Merz Pharma will be divided into a therapeutic and an aesthetic area. This separation is already widely practiced in Europe and Canada. Now this strategic step is being expanded to Austria.
This represents a significant milestone that allows both companies to focus on individual strengths.
A management team with extensive experience
With Dr. Alexander Zach, Merz Pharma Austria GmbH was able to recruit an experienced pharmaceutical manager to manage the Therapeutics division.
After several years of regional and global management responsibility at companies such as Roche and AstraZeneca, with positions in Switzerland, Singapore, India and the UK, he has been leading the pharmaceutical business in Austria since April 1, 2024.

Merz Aesthetics Austria GmbH takes over management Mag. Nicole Hintringer, who has 22 years of experience in the consumer goods and pharmaceutical industries. She has held leadership positions at renowned companies such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Johnson & Johnson and L’Oréal. Your many years of industry experience will be a great advantage in implementing the new goals.

A clearly focused product portfolio
Merz Aesthetics Austria GmbH will concentrate exclusively on the aesthetic area. With minimally invasive treatments from the brands Belotero, Radiesse and Ultherapy. The product portfolio of Merz Pharma GmbH also includes the areas of neurology, hepatology and dermatology with its well-known brands such as Pantogar, Contractubex and Hädensa.
