The Lower Austrian state government, chaired by state governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, has passed the following resolutions, among others:

St. Pölten (OTS/NLK) A resolution concerns the approval of a funding agreement with the Austrian Mountain Rescue Service, regional organization of Lower Austria/Vienna with annual funding of 550,000 euros for the years 2024 to 2026.

Another resolution concerns the approval of a funding agreement with the Austrian Water Rescue, Lower Austria Regional Association, with annual funding of 65,000 euros for the years 2024 to 2026.

Grants from regional planning funding with a total amount of 1,075,000 euros were approved for 21 municipalities.

The new construction of the Große Tulln recycling center (WSZ) in Neulengbach is being funded with 155,125 euros.

Funding from state funds amounting to 360,000 euros was approved for the Lower Austria Climate Alliance project “Support for communities and educational institutions”.

To promote public transport, a park-and-ride and bike-and-ride facility with a total of around 124 car parking spaces and around 60 covered two-wheeler parking spaces and around ten moped parking spaces is to be built by the ÖBB at Schleinbach train station. The Lower Austrian state government has decided to support the construction of the park-and-ride and bike-and-ride facility at Schleinbach train station to the tune of 347,400 euros (that’s 45 percent of the total costs).

In addition, the Lower Austrian state government approved the change to the directive “Lower Austria Heating Cost Subsidy General Guidelines” and decided to grant a heating cost subsidy of 150 euros for the 2023/2024 heating period as well as a special funding for the 2023/2024 heating cost subsidy of 75 euros per household socially needy Lower Austrian citizens.

And another resolution includes the granting of a one-off heating subsidy of 150 euros and a one-time special subsidy for the heating subsidy of 75 euros for the 2023/2024 heating season for all single people or households who live in the months of December 2023 to March 2024 at least for receive a monthly benefit in accordance with the Lower Austrian Social Assistance Implementation Act for one of these months.
