32. Vienna New Year’s Eve trail already in full swing. City manager Michael Ludwig visited the security center and was convinced that the event ran smoothly.
Vienna (OTS/RK) – The wide-ranging program of the 32nd Vienna New Year’s Eve Trail began at 2 p.m., delighting the Viennese and many visitors to Vienna’s city center. The Vienna New Year’s Eve Trail is one of the largest New Year’s Eve events in Europe and attracts hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world to the federal capital every year. Among them is Vienna’s mayor Michael Ludwig, who got his own impression of the celebrations: “The people of Vienna work hard all year round to make Vienna the city worth living in that it is. But we also know how to celebrate when the time comes. We can be proud to be able to hold such an internationally renowned event in our beautiful city with free admission.”
Ludwig also visited the security center, where emergency services will keep an eye on the situation on the streets and the safety of the revelers throughout the evening. “My special thanks go to everyone who is out and about this evening to ensure our safety. They create the framework that allows us all to enjoy an exuberant celebratory atmosphere.” And in fact nothing will be left to chance this evening: This starts with the professional management of the flow of visitors in order to avoid crowds at hotspots. This requires the cooperation and coordination of all blue light organizations as well as the Wiener Linien and city communications.
