The results of the “Summer in the City 2024” study show that two thirds of Viennese spend at least part of their vacation at home. “This underlines the attractiveness of Vienna as a holiday destination and confirms the efforts of the Vienna city government to continuously improve the quality of life in the city,” said the city boss. The results of the study make it clear that the diverse leisure and recreational opportunities in Vienna are very well received.
For example, Viennese people use their vacation in Vienna to spend time with friends and family, enjoy culinary experiences, visit parks and gardens, hike in nature, explore the diverse wine taverns and bar gardens and cool off in in the many natural and outdoor swimming pools. “We will continue to work to expand and improve these offerings to ensure that Vienna is a place of recreation, enjoyment and relaxation for all residents.
