Mastercard has officially confirmed that the myWorld card program promoted by SKAI2 and MONA99 is not authorized. In a recent statement, Mastercard said that the program has not received approval and that it is taking action against unauthorized use of the “Mastercard” name.
The SKAI2 project, which was touted as a revolutionary payment platform, once again turns out to be an empty promise from Lyconet/myWorld inventor Hubert Freidl. Neither Skai2 nor Mona99 have the necessary licenses or permissions to use the Mastercard name or even offer a Mastercard – despite aggressive advertising claiming exactly that.
Tensions before the Lyconet elite seminar in Budapest
The Lyconet elite seminar in Budapest, which will take place on September 27th and 28th, 2024 and which Hubert Freidl continues to promote intensively, also raises questions. It is to be expected that the promises announced there by Freidl & Co. cannot be fulfilled – which is obviously systematic in Freidl’s business practices: such an elite seminar took place in the Veltins Arena Gelsenkirchen in July 2023. In the run-up to this, a supposed initial public offering of myWorld was widely announced with large profit distributions for members – and which ultimately turned out to be just bait to attract new marketers.
Repeated deceptions with supposed partnerships
The SKAI2Pay case is not an isolated case in the history of Lyoness and its founder Hubert Freidl. There have been similar incidents in the past in which the company advertised with renowned partners, which later turned out to be fiction. In 2016, Diners Club’s alleged collaboration was ended, and Mastercard had also threatened legal action at the time when Lyoness advertised its name without authorization.
