The new industry radar of industry radar.com Marktanalysis GmbH confirms the Austrian Post again rising market shares in the package area. In 2024, the package volume in Austria grew to over 397 million packages, of which 224 million packages were available to the Austrian Post. With a market share of over 56 percent, the Austrian Post was able to expand its market share by two percent and is therefore still a clear market leader in the package business.
The package amount of the Austrian Post rose by twelve percent in the previous year. This not only grows more than the market, but also records the strongest package growth of all local KEP providers (courier, express, parcel service).

Packages to private customers
In the private customer business, Swiss Post was able to benefit from European dealers who were able to stabilize again after challenging years, but on the other hand, it is also a reliable service provider for e-commerce players from Asian and US American world. Despite strong competition, the Post was able to increase its market share again with 65 percent and remains clear market leader in this segment.
Packages to business customers
The area of the packages to business customers stagnated in Austria in 2024. Nevertheless, the Swiss Post was able to expand its market share to 31 percent and can also show the highest growth among all KEP providers.
