Marc Cain cooperates with VAUDE for upcycling project (PHOTO)

Bodelshausen (ots) Turning old into new: After the glittering 50th anniversary celebration, Marc Cain has given his stylish Leo fashion tent a new life. Together with VAUDE Professional, a practical shopper and a cosmetic bag were designed and manufactured from the tarpaulin material as part of an upcycling campaign.

The idea for recycling the Leo tent tarpaulin was to conserve resources and create a limited edition accessory. The upcycling project aims to avoid waste and save CO2 at the same time. Both the shopper and the cosmetic bag are made in Germany. Processing and production take place at the VAUDE location in Obereisenbach on Lake Constance. This offers the advantage of short transport routes because both companies are based regionally in Baden-Württemberg. In addition, the production of the items is climate-neutrally compensated. All emissions from mobility, materials, manufacturing processes and shipping are holistically determined and systematically reduced. Emissions that cannot currently be avoided are fully offset by the independent non-profit organization “myclimate”.

This sustainable approach and the history associated with it give the bags their unique charm. Each model is unique and a wonderful souvenir of “50 years of Marc Cain”.

The bags are now available in the Marc Cain online shop:
