Leo Lugner is outraged by the planned appearance of the band “Kneecap” on September 1, 2025 in the Raiffeisen Hall in the gasometer: “This group is known for glorifying Hamas and Terror in its texts. The fact that such an event can take place in the middle of Vienna is a solid scandal!”
In this context, Lugner announces an advertisement in accordance with Section 282a of the Criminal Code (“Completion of terrorist crimes”) against the band and the operator of the gasometer: “Anyone who celebrates and supports terrorism.
“I ask the competent authority and the police to immediately issue a ban on event. At the same time, the gasometer has to test with regard to all public funding. If there are appearances of terrorism sympathizers, no cent tax money should flow,” says Lugner.
“Those who legitimize terrorism threatens our security and our coexistence. Vienna must not become a playground for terrorist-glorifying. We expect an immediate intervention by the security authorities and a clear signal against extremism,” concluded Lugner.
