“Lost in Music” in Berlin – Are you interested in music?

And that is exactly what is now available in Berlin in the very practical preferred package: “Lost in Music” is a new event that will take place in the taz canteen next Friday. It is about “stories from pop music” in the form of readings and live music. Autobiographical or biographical or completely different.

Designed musicians play music or read something about music or author read and play music. Just as Kraftwerk once sang: »It will always go on. Music as a carrier of ideas «. Now that there is no longer a music press that can expand your consciousness, this is more important than ever. Organizer Markus Naegele used to publish Hardcore books about pop music, but also made records himself, as a singer of the band Fuck Yeah (post-grunge) and as a solo artist under the name Don Marco (Americana in German). In the 1990s he worked in the indie scene of Frankfurt am Main, including the editor of the magazine »Superstar«, one of the best FRG-Fanzines of All Times. So this man really has credibility.

“Lost in Music” evenings were already available in Munich in “Live Evil” and in Hamburg in “Annachtäger”. And now Berlin comes on, on Friday evening in the taz canteen in Kreuzberg from 8 p.m. There will be three readings and three concerts, mixed and one in a row without a conversion break.

Music will play: Brezel Göring with his rough psychoanalysis-oriented garage skirt. He was the other half of Stereo Total and his first solo album after the death of Francoise Cactus Schiller Schiller as “a pretty moving dark gloss”, as it was said in this newspaper, it was also self-shown, original and fun. Jesper Munk was once considered the greatest talent of the German blues rock scene and is now making more soul for young adults. Bird Control say that they are the “Future Sound of Trash”, 20 years ago their members played at Mucus 2, Monochords and Jeans team and now they make Moody Psychedelic Garage Punk.

Bassist Julie Miess, who did his doctorate on Monster, will read and played with Half Girl, Mother, Britta and in Jens Friebe’s band. Her current band is called Motörcat because she “unites their love for cats, noise and Lemmy Kilmister”. Such a similar band invented the journalist and outdoor style of Jenni Zylka in 2004 for her debut novel “Beat Baby, Beat!” She writes for various features, belongs to the jury of the Grimme Prize and curates films for the Berlinale. And Eric Wrede used to be a DJ, worked as a manager for Motor Music and then became a professional undertaker, with his own company, podcast and book as a “Spiegel” bestseller (“The End-The Book of Death”). Plates are also put on the music journalist Martin Lippert: Soul, Disco, New Wave, Italo-Pop, namely vinyl-only.
