From March 19th to 21st, 2024, Toyota Material Handling will welcome LogiMAT visitors again to the “Intralogistics Stadium” (Hall 10, Stand G41).
Vienna/Wr. Neudorf (OTS) – The world market leader will be able to experience stacking top athletes, intralogistics innovations and future-oriented concept studies as well as news from the areas of automation, energy efficiency, sustainability and safety at this year’s LogiMAT in Stuttgart.
“Experience for yourself why Toyota Material Handling received so much positive feedback for its trade fair appearance last year,” says Jan Lorenz, patron of the Toyota stand and managing director of Toyota Material Handling Germany, during a visit to Hall 10 in Stuttgart. “On a significantly larger stand area, we invite LogiMAT visitors to delve deeper into core topics such as innovative sustainability, automation and system integration as well as new product developments that increase efficiency in dialogue with our experts and guest speakers. Things get particularly exciting in our brand new Innovation Camp. Here, customers not only receive exclusive insights into the future of intralogistics, but also how Toyota Material Handling will enable even greater efficiency and lower structural costs in customer applications.”
New technologies in the “Innovation Camp”
As a pioneer and driver of new technologies, Toyota Material Handling offers insights into future-oriented developments and concept studies in the exclusive “Innovation Camp”. As a highlight, Toyota’s latest concepts for autonomous devices, which score points through improved human-machine interaction and machine learning, will be presented in the cutting-edge technology training center.
In addition, Toyota’s next step towards digitalization will be presented in the “Innovation Camp”: A new customer portal offers operators of Toyota devices access to informative overviews of their fleet, enabling good decision-making based on precise and accessible telematics data. The portal supports, among other things, cost control, monitoring charging cycles and the use of safety functions and also enables optimized procurement of new, used or rental devices. Along with the introduction of the LogiMAT portal in the following months, a powerful update of the previous Toyota fleet management system I_Site will be available.
In keeping with the company’s vision of “Zero Muda” (no waste), a prototype will be presented at the Innovation Camp that illustrates an evolutionary use of production materials to increase the recycling rate.
“Automation Arena” shows an intralogistics relay race
At the heart of the Toyota trade fair stand is the “Automation Arena”, the playing field on which the Logistics team demonstrates an intralogistics relay race. Persistent and coordinated, the driverless reach truck BT Reflex Autopilot and the high-lift truck BT Staxio Autopilot, in conjunction with the shuttle systems used in racking systems for high-density and space-saving storage, demonstrate what modern automation is all about. A new technology for order picking solutions, the integration of which Toyota Material Handling is currently pushing forward, will also be integrated into the automation game.
Toyota has been using automation in the form of driverless transport systems and software solutions for decades and is consistently developing these further with technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). This is impressively demonstrated by the concept studies in the “Innovation Camp” and the automation game in the “Automation Arena”.
Exciting insights from the “Coaching Zone”
The company will also share valuable knowledge: specialist lectures will be held several times a day in the new “Coaching Zone”. Among other things, visitors can look forward to the top speakers Hans Larsson, Director Strategic Innovation at Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE), and Marc Maureaux, Senior Sustainability Manager at TMHE.
“The logistics industry is changing faster than ever before. In the coming years there will be numerous new risks as well as opportunities, which will be driven forward by the ever faster development of key technologies.”
says Hans Larsson about the content of his keynote speech. “It will be impossible for companies to do everything alone, so new ways of working together with partnerships and alliances will be required. Which logistics concepts will pose the biggest challenge for the industry? Which technologies are developing quickly and are most relevant? And what trends in business and society will change the game in the coming period?”
In addition, the logistics industry makes an important contribution to the European economy – and is on the way to developing a sustainable business model. “But how best to make the transition and how does the industry respond to the growing need for transparency, carbon reduction and circularity? How best to anticipate the Green Deal requirements and their impacts? And, more importantly, how to do so Can sustainability and profit be compatible?”
Marc Maureaux will address these questions in his lecture. The Senior Sustainability Manager will provide insight into how Toyota is addressing these priorities and providing solutions for its customers and the entire value chain.
Electric and fuel cell technology in the “Energy & Product Park”
Toyota devices are the true athletes for every camp discipline. To help customers reduce CO2 emissions, Toyota Material Handling is increasingly relying on lithium-ion and fuel cell technology. All industrial trucks exhibited in the “Energy & Product Park” are therefore equipped with energy-efficient and resource-saving drive solutions. The company advises its customers on an application-related and technology-neutral basis in order to reduce the CO2 emissions of forklift fleets in the long term.
The other advantages of the modular Toyota battery system will also be presented at LogiMAT: Devices with integrated lithium-ion technology – such as the Toyota BT Levio LWI160 or BT Staxio SSI200D – are particularly compact, light and energy efficient. The latter can transport two pallets at once, which significantly increases productivity.
When it comes to issues such as productivity, energy and, above all, safety, top performance is required. For example, through the SAS assistance system, which has been an integral part of all Toyota forklifts for many years. The “System for Active Stability” reliably contributes to the safe operation of the devices and to the protection of operators and goods. New is the camera-based assistance system SEnS+, which offers effective protection against collisions with objects and people.
+++ LogiMAT will take place from March 19th to 21st, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Stuttgart exhibition center. Toyota’s “Intralogistics Stadium” can be found in Hall 10, Stand G41. +++
