The municipal council elections in 284 Styrian municipalities have been beaten and after counting all votes, it was clear: ÖVP and SPÖ suffered losses, the FPÖ increased almost everywhere from a low level. However, there was no first place for the blue, as before, the ÖVP was in front in most municipalities and remains the mayor party in the Green Mark. In the total result, the ÖVP came to 43.7 percent (2020: 47.2), the SPÖ to 27.8 percent (31.9).
