Lung cancer is often discovered late, when it is too late for curative therapy. With early diagnosis, almost a quarter of deaths could be avoided. In order for lung cancer to be detected earlier, there needs to be more risk awareness among the population and comprehensive early detection programs, especially for risk groups.
Our topics: Early detection of lung disease – how to do it and why it is important; Lung health in the workplace – the role of workplace health promotion; LUIS: Online symptom check for smokers; Book presentation: “Facing cancer courageously. Twelve great people tell their lung cancer story”, the new book from the “MUTMACHER:INNEN” series from the Austrian Cancer Aid
