LINKS and KPÖ are starting the National Council elections together in Vienna

Viennese party LINKS collects declarations of support for the KPÖ

Vienna (OTS) The Vienna LINKS party is running for the National Council election together with the KPÖ. To ensure that the two parties are on the ballot together in the fall, activists are mobilizing at least 500 supporters in Vienna over the next few days. Declarations of support can be signed by eligible voters at the office and the original must be handed over to the party.

LINKS starts with a kick-off event on Wednesday, July 10th, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Friedensbrücke. There is food available right next to the municipal district office on Alsergrund and declarations of support are collected on site. The LINKS speakers Anna Svec and Angelika Adensamer, who are campaigning for preferential votes on the KPÖ list, are also there.

LINKS spokeswoman Angelika Adensamer is second on the Vienna state list of the KPÖ and is already looking forward to the upcoming election campaign: “We are ready for the election campaign! The result of the EU election in particular has shown us how important it is to stand together against the right. That’s why we support the KPÖ with all our might and are working towards entry into the National Council. We are ready to get involved nationwide too!

LINKS spokeswoman Anna Svec is running for the KPÖ in fifth place on the federal list: “Our LINKS activists are already working at full speed to get the necessary 500 declarations of support in Vienna together with the KPÖ as quickly as possible. We want and will put in a lot of effort because only a shift to the left is an effective means of countering the shift to the right!

LINKS and the KPÖ already have a successful collaboration in Vienna. With a total of 23 district councilors, the two parties have been represented as LINKS-KPÖ in the Vienna district parliaments since 2020, where they fight together for a good Vienna for everyone.

I am pleased that we are working together for all those who cannot make ends meet with big money. In the fall we want to bring their votes to the National Council“, Federal spokesman and top candidate of the KPÖ, Tobias Schweiger, welcomed the cooperation.

The Magaretner KPÖ district councilor and first on the list in Vienna, Claudia Krieglsteiner, also welcomes the joint candidacy: “I am pleased that after many years of fragmentation, the stable cooperation in the Vienna district representations between the KPÖ and the LINKS since 2020 is also coming into play in this election campaign and that together we can not only create the necessary declarations of support, but also gain entry into the National Council. This will change our country.
