Vienna (OTS) – Lindt & Sprüngli Austria today concluded a long-term contract as tenant of the historic Kursalon Hübner in Vienna’s Stadtpark with its owners. From 2027, the world-renowned manufacturer of premium chocolate would like to bring the history and production of chocolate closer to visitors from all over the world in the form of exhibitions and events and make it possible to experience it.
An interactive exhibition about the history and production of chocolate is planned in the magnificent rooms of the Kursalon under the quality-oriented management of Lindt & Sprüngli. In the in-house chocolate workshop, visitors can conjure up their own chocolate creations. There will also be a café with a spacious terrace and a play area for children, as well as a Lindt shop. As part of a careful and extensive renovation, which is being carried out with particular attention to preserving the historical elements of the building, the Kursalon is to be refreshed and opened towards the city park. Parts of the property will continue to be used for exclusive events and concerts.

The two managing directors of the Kursalon, Katharina Daimer and Astrid Hübner, are also pleased about the new tenant: “After we have been working on the complex planning and structural redesign of the Kursalon for several years, we are particularly pleased that we have found the final piece of the puzzle in the overall concept with Lindt & Sprüngli Austria as the operator. We are now working on the common goal of reopening the Kursalon for high-quality local and international tourist use and, in particular, restoring it to its former glory while preserving the character of the city park.

About the Kursalon Hübner
The Kursalon Hübner was built by the city of Vienna between 1865 and 1867. There, where the Vienna Ringstrasse leans against the green of the city park, Johann Strauss (father) once premiered his famous Radetzky March. Johann Strauss (son) also celebrated great successes in the Kursalon. After the Second World War, the Renaissance palace developed into a coffee house with a music pavilion under the then tenant Hans Hübner.
The Kursalon currently offers around 4,400m² of usable space on three floors and a mezzanine. Four magnificent halls and the approximately 1000m² terrace with a view of the city park form a unique backdrop.
