St. Pölten (OTS) – On Friday, State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner presented the “Silver Commander’s Cross with the Star of Honor for Services to the Federal State of Lower Austria” to State Office Director Werner Trock.
Werner Trock knows “the country and the state service like no one else,” said state governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner in her laudatory speech: “You love this country and the state service, which you know from a wide variety of functions and perspectives.” Trock not only stands out “ through competence and expertise, knowledge and know-how”, but above all through personal commitment as well as leadership and management qualities: “You are simply the right man in the right place in the right function.” She further characterized the state office director as “appreciative in dealing with employees and valued by his employees”: “You are a thinker, a hard worker and a fighter – but not a lone fighter, but a team player.”
“Open to new things and full of energy,” Trock also set important initiatives, the state governor referred to, for example, the employee survey, state strategy and digitalization offensive: “Today we also want to say thank you for your loyalty, your sense of responsibility and your inexhaustible patience. You are a valuable person who we can rely on every hour and every day.” Today we want to show our thanks “not just with words, but also with a visible sign,” Mikl-Leitner concluded, and appealed to the honoree to use the decoration “not as a final balance, but as an interim balance and motivation for many more years together.” to see.
In his words of thanks, the state office director referred, among other things, to the cooperation with his former superiors such as: B. Wolfgang Sobotka and Erwin Pröll said that he had spent a “demanding but also beautiful, valuable and instructive time” in his respective positions. When he was appointed state office director in 2017, he felt “a great leap of faith,” combined with the mandate to establish modern, digital work and a new corporate culture. Trock emphasized that a working environment “that is characterized by appreciative cooperation” is particularly important to him: “We want to make Lower Austria the most modern and fastest state and at the same time make sure that it remains the most beautiful federal state.” This was presented to him today He sees decorations of honor as recognition for the entire national service, and he wants to thank them “on behalf of the entire team”: “Thank you for the appreciation that this shows the entire national service.”
Gerhard Dafert, deputy director of the state office, welcomed the guests of honor and celebrations. In addition to many employees of the state service, there were also, among others, state parliament president Karl Wilfing, national council president Wolfgang Sobotka, former state governor. D. Erwin Pröll, Federal Minister Gerhard Karner, LH deputy Stephan Pernkopf as well as the state councilors Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister and Susanne Rosenkranz came to the awarding of the medal of honor to the state office director.
Werner Trock was born on February 2, 1964 and celebrated his 60th birthday last Friday. After graduating from high school in 1982, Trock entered the state service and began working in the finance department. In 1992 he became deputy office manager in the office of State Councilor Edmund Freibauer, and in 1996 he completed his law studies. After working in the spatial planning group, he was office manager for State Councilor Wolfgang Sobotka from 1998 to 2006 and office manager for State Governor Erwin Pröll from 2006 to 2017. Werner Trock has been the state office director since June 1, 2017.
