“Michaela Polleres will win another Olympic medal after Tokyo 2021 and will thus write a piece of Austrian sports history,” says Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, congratulating the Ternitzer on her bronze at the Olympic Games in Paris.
“Dear Michi, Lower Austria is proud of you. You are not only a truly exceptional athlete and Lower Austrian ambassador far beyond the country’s borders, but above all a role model for so many young girls who want to follow in your footsteps one day. I would like to thank you for that,” said the state governor.
After silver in Tokyo 2021 and bronze at this year’s Games in Paris, Polleres is only missing gold for the complete set of medals. “Our Michi will pick up the last piece of the puzzle in Los Angeles in 2028,” Mikl-Leitner is certain.
