Today, Wednesday, the second round of negotiations for the collective agreement for the approximately 50,000 employees of the chemical industry ended without success. The Pro-GE and GPA unions will therefore inform the works councils in the industry tomorrow at an Austrian conference and advise you on the further procedure. ++++
“Although the talks have run in a constructive framework, an offer of employers continues to be a long time,” said the chief negotiators of the employees: Inside, Josef Schernberger (Pro-Ge) and Mario Mayrwöger (GPA).
“The well-qualified employees in our industry need a secure wage and salary increase. This gives security that the business location also urgently needs to boost private consumption,” say the trade unionists.
Furthermore, the unions are calling for the possibility to convert money in leisure time (leisure option) and an increase in the allowances and surcharges as well as the apprenticeship income above the inflation rate. Among other things, the accessibility of the sixth vacation week should be facilitated in framework law and you want a climate for apprentices. The offer of health preventive measures in the companies is also to be expanded.
The next round of negotiation will take place on April 23. The application for the new collective agreement is May 1st.
