After the successful premiere in 2024, the new event format called Sound | Escape in the second edition. Kitzbühel Tourism Managing Director Dr. Viktoria Veider-Walser sees great potential in this new concept: “Our companies have been focusing on electronic music on the mountain for many years. With sound | We have succeeded in bundle these forces and connect our partners on the mountain and in the valley with an innovative concept. We look forward to the second edition of an electronic boutique festival at the best time of winter. ”
Electronic Beats from the peaks to the heart of the city center
It is well known that top -class DJs regularly hang up in Kitzbühel in the field of electronic music. With sound | Escape are bundled the individual initiatives of the individual companies on the mountain and in the valley in a festival concept. As a heart and thus a link between the locations, a large stage – mainstage – acts in the middle of the historic city center, in the courtyard of the district administration. Particular attention is paid to the free entry to all locations.
Kick off on Friday, March 28, 2025: Sound | Escape starts in the afternoon with top -class acts on the mountain. The Kitzbühel Mainstage in the city center continues from 4:00 p.m. Afterwards, bars and clubs inspire visitors with a perfectly coordinated line-up of international and local acts.
Continued on Saturday, March 29, 2025: From the peaks it goes into the valley to the Kitzbühel Mainstage and on to the companies.
Functioning on Sunday, March 30, 2025: Chilly ending on the mountain.
Line-up & Venues – Headliner inklusive
A total of electronic beats of the over 40 DJs at around 20 different locations on the mountain and in the valley sound on the 3 event days. Centrally in the middle of the 750 -year -old city center, the specially created main stage invites you to dance on Friday and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. – including catering stands with snacks and drinks.
A special highlight: Sven Väth, an internationally known techno legend, comes to Kitzbühel. For over 40 years, he has been one of the most successful German DJs for over 40 years, founded labels, clubs and careers – and still rocks the decks with vinyl, of course. In 2024, Sven Väth was awarded the Bambi in the “Culture” category – his laudation lasted none other than a world star pianist Lang Lang.
Good to know
Entry to all locations is free of charge. A ticket from Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel is required for some Berg-Venues-online pre-sale possible. Most companies in the ski area can also be reached on foot from the gondola. Due to the successful first edition last year and the already high demand, a reservation from the participating companies is recommended in advance. The festival takes place in every weather, reserved for short -term changes.
