Shortly before the start of filming for the fourth season, Katharina Stemberger, Michael Steinocher and Angelika Niedetzky were met on Monday, May 27th by ORF program director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz at the ORF media campus in Vienna in the presence of, among others, ORF television film director Katharina Schenk and producer Florian Gebhardt said goodbye to the first joint “Soko” mission in the direction of Linz.

ORF program director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz: “Ideal addition to the Linz investigative team”

“It starts in Linz – and I wish the entire team good luck with the filming. The ‘Soko Linz’ has established itself excellently with our audience in recent years. In the new season we are now relying even more on local color and Austrian humor. For me, the Upper Austrian-born Angelika Niedetzky and the ‘Soko’ experienced Michael Steinocher are the ideal addition to the Linz investigative team.”

Katharina Stemberger: “Nice mix of familiar and new”

“I’m looking forward to working with my two new colleagues. They are simply sweet, which in this case means very likeable, and team players – I think that’s great.” And further: “In contrast to his predecessor, with whom Joe got along well, her new boss is not without and rather special. She also meets an old friend and there is a very special chemistry there.” The fourth season will be “a nice mix of familiar and new. ‘Soko Linz’ remains ‘Soko Linz’ – but with changes: new filming locations, even more Linz, even more Upper Austria.”

Angelika Niedetzky: “Back to my hometown”

“For my role there is not only a lot of tension, but also emotions. So there’s a bit of heart and romance added to the crime thriller. The shoot is very personal for me and a coming home again because I was born in Linz and grew up there. At the age of 45, I am now returning to my hometown and can act in a leading role there. There is actually nothing more beautiful.” Also: “Really beautiful places in Linz were chosen as filming locations. I’m really looking forward to the team and get along well with everyone – harmony and fun in the background are half the battle.”

Michael Steinocher: “There will definitely be a lot of insults”

“My character is a major and relatively strict. I’m really looking forward to filming – I’ve already met the team and it’s really great. The colleagues are simply great. There will definitely be a lot of insults in the new season – and the production will be even more Austrian.”
