Vienna (OTS) – Kaleen is an Austrian pop artist who energetically combines singing and dancing! The 29-year-old from Upper Austria will represent our country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, where she will be competing in May 2024 with a techno-inspired pop track. For the authentic all-rounder, taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest fulfills a long-cherished wish.

Kaleen: “I haven’t fully understood yet that I will now be standing on this stage as an artist. I love this world of lights and cameras and the fact that you can take people into another world. These moments are very valuable. I’ve worked hard for this and am proud to show the world what I can do. I’m really looking forward to it!”
Kaleen – the self-made all-rounder from Austria
Kaleen is a trained singer and dancer. She began singing self-taught and eventually perfected her technique with vocal training. Dance has accompanied Kaleen her entire life:
At the age of two, she danced in the living room at home when music shows were on television and then took her first ballet lessons. She quickly expanded her repertoire to include commercial, tap, jazz, musical, modern, Latin and ballroom dance. She won her first national championship title at the age of seven – the first of more than 100 national and European championship titles and even five world championship titles, as well as various special awards across all disciplines. Since 2020 she has been working as a choreographer and stage coach for, among other things, the ORF casting show “Starmania”. She also taught herself how to record and produce songs professionally. Her first self-produced single was released in September 2021 under her self-founded label “Wifi Records”. After three more singles, she took on the challenge of writing and recording a full album. Her debut album “Stripping Feelings” was released in September 2023. Kaleen has also been taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2018, initially as a stand-in lead artist for rehearsals in several countries and as a dancer and choreographer for the interval act in Lisbon. In 2021 she was Creative Director of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for Spain and Bulgaria; 2022 Creative Director for Spain and Stage Director for the entire production. Last year, in addition to Austria, she also supported Armenia, Germany and Georgia in the stage implementation of the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.
In which semifinal will Austria sing?
A total of 37 countries will be taking part in the 68th “Eurovision Song Contest” in Malmö in May. While six countries – Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain and last year’s winning country, Sweden – have already qualified, the 31 other nations are fighting for a place in the final on May 11th in the two semi-final shows on May 7th and 9th May (live from 9 p.m. on ORF 1). As part of the “Allocation Draw”, a draw will be made on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in Malmö to determine which country will compete in which half of which semifinal.
