JJ on the turquoise carpet at the Opening Ceremony
Vienna (OTS) –

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is officially opened. Today the show week was heralded with a ceremony in the town hall of Basel, a tram corso to the exhibition center, the walk of all participating acts over the turquoise carpet and the subsequent opening party. JJ: “My first week in Basel has passed like a flight. For me, the opening party is certainly a very special highlight – since we are divided into two Semifinali, this is actually the only moment when all participating artists really come together and celebrate the ESC2025 together.”

JJ wore a creation of the Austrian designer Jennifer Miller on the turquoise carpet. “For JJ’s Turquoise-Carpet appearance, I designed a suit with a clear design language and special details: a jacket with striking shoulders, combined with extra-wide, voluminous 3D pants. Paper boats stretch across the entire outfit and take up the visual language of the music videos Wasted Love. I love to create portable art with expressive cutting techniques. This project was a great opportunity to implement these ideas. ” Photo from the Opening Ceremony can be called up at press.orf.at.

The ORF accompanies JJ’s exciting time at the Song Contest in all its media (TV, radio and online) and offers a comprehensive supporting program for the ESC 2025 with numerous documentation, programs, films and live reports.
