This month, the Cinema Paradiso Baden, in collaboration with the Ball Royale of the city of Baden, which this year has the motto “Bella Italia”, is presenting two classics by Federico Fellini: “Eight and a Half” on January 8th today and “La “dolce vita”. The series of special events will continue on January 15th with “Cinema Opera” live from the Royal Opera House London – this time with “The Tales of Hoffmann” by Jacques Offenbach in a production by Damiano Michieletto.

On January 20th, following Alexander Horwath’s road trip “Henry Fonda for President”, which interweaves the career and biography of Henry Fonda with the history of his country and its political development, there will be a conversation with the director. On January 26th, the “Cinema Wunschkino” presents Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction” from 1994 with Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, Harvey Keitel, John Travolta and Uma Thurman. On Monday afternoons, the “Film Café” will again be serving coffee, cake and the films “Old White Man” (January 13th), “The Nickname” (January 20th) and “The quiet and the big tones”. (January 27th).

The live events start on January 16th with Cornelius Obonya reading texts by Karl Kraus while Christoph Richter, Lorenz Raab and Georg Buxhofer play jazz. On January 18th, Nicolai Gruninger and Marc Bruckner will make “Ritter Rufus”, “Adrian Has No Horse” and “The Hat Who Didn’t Want to Do Magic” a children’s book cinema concert experience in the “Picture Book Cinema”. Finally, the next edition of “Diary Slam” is on the program on January 30th, with the winner being chosen again by applause.
