ORF premiere of Marc Schlegel’s ORF/SWR/ARTE road movie with, among others, Fritz Karl, Marlene Morreis and Susi Stach in other roles at 8:15 p.m
Vienna (OTS) – Jakob Schmidt, Emma Floßmann and Daniel Rodic will set off on a “summer on three wheels” on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 1 when they experience a really big adventure together. In the road movie by director and screenwriter Marc Schlegel, co-produced by ORF, SWR and ARTE, which was filmed in Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart, the Swabian Alb and Lake Constance in the summer of 2021, among others, the trio travels in an old Piaggio moped car Stuttgart to Lake Constance. Also part of the Austrian-German ensemble are Simon Böer, Annika Ernst, Timur Bartels, Fritz Karl, Alexander Schubert, Marlene Morreis, Susi Stach and Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht.

“Summer on Three Wheels” is the story of the shy outsider Flake (Jakob Schmidt), who not only suffers from the fact that his parents named him after the keyboard player of the heavy metal band Rammstein. He also fails to finally confess his love to the girl he secretly has a crush on and to assert himself against his rival. So Flake first makes the wrong decisions – and then he meets the drug dealer Kim (Emma Floßmann) and the embittered wheelchair user Philipp (Daniel Rodic). This encounter leads to a tour de force through the Swabian province – in an old Piaggio moped car that can only reach a top speed of 45 km/h.
