LR Schleritzko: Implementing a successful mindset
St. Pölten (OTS/NLK) – “Health was, is and remains a focus of Lower Austrian state policy. Prevention is a central topic in order to keep Lower Austrians healthy for as long as possible and to sustainably relieve the burden on the clinics,” said Provincial Councilor Ludwig Schleritzko on Wednesday in the Seestudio in St. Pölten, where he spoke together with “Tut gut!” -Managing director Alexandra Pernsteiner-Kappl and the “Tut gut!” brand ambassador Kati Bellowitsch presented the new “Tut gut!” campaign to combat the inner weaker person.
“Two thirds of our compatriots know ‘Tut gut!’ with the high-quality and target group-specific offers, for which new priorities are constantly being set,” explained the State Council. After around 43 percent of the 1,000 Lower Austrians surveyed online last year cited inner weakness as the biggest obstacle to a healthy lifestyle (followed by the temptation of sweets and too much weight), there is now a new focus on temptations to inactivity such as the couch , TV series or Internet surfing.
“We all have the weaker inner self within us, but it is never too late to do something about it. We want to implement a successful mindset based on the three pillars of more exercise, a balanced diet and mental health that changes the attitude ‘I can’t do it anyway’ to ‘I know I can do it’,” emphasized Schleritzko in relation to the Initiative that includes a print, radio and online campaign, so-called “swine dog tests”, a competition, webinars, podcasts, etc.
Alexandra Pernsteiner-Kappl explained the test: “Answering twelve low-threshold and simple questions allows, on the one hand, participation in a competition scheduled until September 30th and, on the other hand, to encourage others by sharing the results via Facebook or Instagram.” You can win a total of six exercise, nutrition and mental packages as main prizes as well as one of 1,111 “swine dog packages” as a consolation prize.
Kati Bellowitsch differentiated the inner weak dog into an exercise, nutritional and mental weak dog: “To get the necessary amount of exercise you have to find something that you enjoy doing. Nutrition is the most difficult point because it is not just about what, but also when, how and where you eat. And if exercise and nutrition are right, that is also the best prerequisite for mental health.”
