LR Teschl-Hofmeister: Half-year balance shows the continued popularity of the free advantage card among Lower Austria’s families
St. Pölten (OTS) – The great popularity of the Lower Austria Family Pass remains unbroken, as the half-year results show. “The first half of 2024 has seen high application numbers: more than 11,000 people applied for the advantage card between January and June. This number proves once again that we are on the right track with our offer. Families like to use the Lower Austria Family Pass to save money while spending time together,” explains family regional councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister.
The number of participating partner companies is also impressive: around 500 companies in Lower Austria and the neighboring federal states offer attractive discounts to the approximately 204,000 holders of the Lower Austria Family Pass. The companies are from the retail, catering, service, leisure and hotel sectors and are constantly being expanded. “In the first half of the year, 37 new partner companies were added,” says Teschl-Hofmeister.
The free advantage card can be applied for not only by families in the classic sense – i.e. parents and legal guardians – but also by uncles, aunts, grandmas, grandpas and other caregivers who like to spend time with children. The prerequisites are that the main residence of the child or children is in Lower Austria and that family allowance is received. “We don’t just see family in the traditional sense, but we want to invite everyone who likes to spend time with children to take advantage of the Lower Austria Family Pass offers. “In this way, we would like to provide families in Lower Austria with financial support and noticeably relieve the burden on them,” said the regional councilor.
