The institute itself is also investing more in science communication
On our campus, scientists from over 70 countries and 78 research groups work on fundamental scientific questions. We convey the relevance of this specific research in our communication. At the same time, we also focus on broad, general science communication: Our VISTA Science Experience Team, created in 2022, arouses enthusiasm for science and an understanding of its processes – with offerings from the Summer Campus to the Christmas Science Lecture to the recently launched Vifzack Academy their role in democracy. We often do this in cooperation and with the support of the ministry. We therefore expressly welcome the fact that a platform has been created on which interested parties throughout Austria can find offers relating to science and research.

Klosterneuburg (OTS) – The Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) in Klosterneuburg, known for excellent basic research in natural sciences, mathematics and computer science, welcomes the BMBWF’s new “DNAustria” campaign.

The institute’s offerings will also soon be available on the platform. Over the next few years, ISTA will continue to expand both science communication and science education. A new Science Experience Center is currently being built on the institute’s campus in Klosterneuburg and will open in 2025.
