Wiener Neustadt (OTS) – To date, 2,500 cancer patients have been irradiated with protons or carbon ions at MedAustron. The therapy and research center in Wiener Neustadt is the only one in Austria for this special form of radiation therapy and only one of six worldwide for the use of both types of particles. In addition to medical expertise, the MedAustron team also has sought-after know-how about the technical system.
