IPT 2025: The world’s largest demo show for composting and biomass preparation
The event focuses on practical demonstrations of innovative technologies in the area of composting and biomass preparation. Leading machine manufacturers present their latest solutions for shredding, sieve, implementation technique, measurement and control technology as well as for the transport of biogenic materials.
The event is aimed at experts from waste management, agricultural and forestry, plant planning, environmental technology and all those interested in compost.
Compost in Austria – meaning and commitment
In Austria there are round every year 1.6 million tons of biogenic waste on over 400 compost systems be processed at high quality compost.
But where is compost used – and what advantages does it bring?
The benefit is as diverse as its components. Compost is increasingly appreciated in agriculture and ecological farming.
- It improves the soil structure,
- promotes soil life,
- replaced miner animals,
- increases the proof of yield
- And ensures long -term soil fertility.
Also im municipal area – Kompost is used in the care of green spaces, parks, playgrounds or traffic islands. In the private garden If it is mainly used for the soil improvement, e.g. B. when creating vegetables or plantings.
Technologies in practical use – experience machines live
A central highlight of the event is the live demonstrations of the latest technologies for the processing of compost and biomass. Leading manufacturers show the specialist audience current developments in the following areas:
- Shooting of biomass
- Implementation and ventilation
- Seven and classification
- Measurement and control technology
- Transport and conveyor technology
The close cooperation between plant operators and technology companies is constantly creating new, practice -oriented solutions. The practitioner day offers the opportunity to experience machines in real operation, to exchange ideas with manufacturers and operators: to exchange ideas and get to know technological trends first -hand.
Competition “Komposkar 2025”: Who produces the best compost?
A traditional component of the practitioner day is Austria -wide competition for compost quality. The “composkar” is awarded – the award for outstanding quality and professional composing.
The focus is on the question: Who produces the best compost in Austria?
The evaluation takes place by experts on the basis of clearly defined quality criteria. The competition should not only offer incentive for quality, but also promote the exchange of experiences between the facilities.
What makes good compost?
Good compost arises from the right mix of organic waste. A balanced ratio between nitrogen -rich (e.g. kitchen waste) and carbon -rich materials (e.g. shrub cut) is important.
Among other things, regular ventilation through frequently mixed through and sufficient time for maturation (8–12 weeks) are also decisive. The finished compost can be recognized by its earthy smell, its dark color and the crumbly structure.
Celebrate sustainably: “Green event” and “celebrate”
The Practical Day 2025 is certified as a “Green Event” and part of the “Celebrate G’Scheit” initiative. The association thus sets a strong sign of sustainable and environmentally conscious event organization.
