The National Council election is over. Once again, the handling of the election resulted in a huge amount of bureaucratic effort and high costs in the municipal administrations and electoral authorities before and during the election. A major issue for the municipalities is postal voting: with a total of 1,436,240 voting cards issued, there was a new record number of postal voters in the National Council election. This time, 22.6 percent of all eligible voters took advantage of the opportunity to cast their vote early. This shows that people generally want to vote regardless of election day. So why not think intensively about “e-voting”?
Also: How do we create more digitalization in the electoral process and what do communities demand in terms of digitalization? We cordially invite media representatives to the press conference to discuss these and other questions.
