On the occasion of the never-ending heat waves, Caritas, Volkshilfe, GLOBAL 2000 and Doctors for a Healthy Environment point out that people affected by poverty suffer the most from high temperatures. They are calling for a heat protection package so that vulnerable groups are protected as best as possible from the effects of the climate crisis and are calling for climate and social issues to be resolutely considered together in all areas.
The following are available as conversation partners:
– Anna Parr, Secretary General Caritas Austria
– Erich Fenninger, Managing Director Volkshilfe
– Hanns Mooshammer, Doctors for a Healthy Environment
– Johannes Wahlmüller, climate and energy spokesman, GLOBAL 2000
