On September 11, 2024, it will be festive in the arcade courtyard of the Vienna City Hall when the Vienna Health Promotion – WiG, as part of Everyone for Everyone, will for the first time hold a festival of encounters for all people with and without disabilities and, above all, for families in Vienna organized. Entertainment, music, dancing, information stands and much more – visitors are offered a colorful program with free admission. “We warmly invite all Viennese people to meet, connect and celebrate together at our inclusive festival of encounters on September 11th. We want to enable encounters between people with and without disabilities and break down barriers in people’s minds,” announces Dennis Beck, Managing Director of Vienna Health Promotion – WiG.
Colorful entertainment program, short lectures and all-day hands-on stations
On September 11th, the gates of the arcade courtyard will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The day is all about diversity and inclusion and will be opened by Peter Hacker, City Councilor for Social Affairs, Health and Sport, Dennis Beck, Managing Director of Vienna Health Promotion – WiG, and Klaus Widl, President CBMF – Club of Disabled People and their Friends.
Visitors can look forward to a varied stage program with circus arts, a danced fashion show, improv theater and dance music from all over the world. The Austrian Council for the Disabled also provides valuable input on site. Short lectures on the topics of exercise, nutrition and mental health round off the program. All-day hands-on stations such as balancing, guessing smells, juggling, tightrope walking, first aid, climbing, smoothie biking and much more ensure fun and entertainment for the whole family.
