Up to 551,000 watched the finale of the ORF hit show live on ORF 1 – 3.012 million were there for DGC 2024

Vienna (OTS) The winner of “The Big Chance – Let’s Sing and Dance” has been chosen! The dance group Indeed Unique from Vienna was able to convince the TV audience last night, on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the big live finale of the ORF-1 hit show, prevailing in the all-important speed voting against singer Kerstin Schmidt from Lower Austria and take home the prize of 50,000 euros. Up to 551,000 wanted to watch the performances of the nine “DGC” finalists Anja & Jana Starlinger, Dance Industry, Emma LISA, Indeed Unique, James Park, Kerstin Schmidt, Limited Edition, Paolo Scariano and Philip Piller at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 1 not to be missed. The average reach was 452,000. Up to 498,000 and an average of 478,000 viewers took part in the exciting decision at 10:35 p.m. The grand finale evening was watched by an average of 458,000 viewers (all data provisionally weighted) with a market share of 20 percent; the market shares of the two programs were 19 and 26 percent respectively (target group 12+); in the young viewing group 12-29 it was 29 and 36 percent respectively. Fanny Stapf and Andi Knoll led the show, and in the final, Christina Sturmer, Cesár Sampson and Thorsteinn Einarsson commented on the performances as judges.

Successful season of “The Big Chance – Let’s Sing and Dance”

Up to 3.012 million viewers (the widest circle of viewers) attended this season of the ORF 1 successful format “The Big Chance” under the motto “Let’s sing and dance”. This corresponds to 40 percent of the local TV population aged 12 and over. The widest audience on the final night was 1.075 million, which is 14 percent of the 12+ TV population. The opening broadcast on Friday, March 8th achieved the highest reach – up to 642,000 with a 21 percent market share followed the performances of the first 25 talents. The final evening takes top 2 in the entire season ranking. The young audience was particularly enthusiastic about this year’s show – with market shares of up to 45 percent, “The Big Chance – Let’s Sing and Dance” was particularly popular among the young target group. On average, the six “DGC” preliminary round broadcasts and four live show evenings were followed by 433,000 viewers with a market share of 18 percent. (29 percent at 12-49).
