Vienna (OTS) – 2024 will also be a great election year in Austria. EU elections and National Council elections will shape the political landscape, as well as state elections in Styria and Vorarlberg as well as local council elections in two state capitals. In addition to many ballots, there is also a real long-term election campaign ahead. People expect action and effective solutions from politicians, but will it still be about content in addition to campaign rhetoric and high-profile appearances, or will substantive politics fall by the wayside? The FPÖ has been ahead in polls for the National Council election for months, the other parties seem to have one main issue: no coalition with Herbert Kickl. Will that be enough to win the trust of voters? How much staging does politics need? Will the parliamentary committees of inquiry achieve more than just political mudslinging?
