Vienna (OTS) – In what is believed to be the biggest espionage scandal in Austria, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Egisto Ott, was arrested on suspicion of abuse of office to the detriment of Austria. Ott, who denies all allegations, is presumed innocent. The spy thriller leads to more and more questions: Is Austria particularly suitable for agents? Is this also historically proven? What’s going on with our counterintelligence? What responsibility does politics bear? How powerful is an interior minister?
