“How welcome is tourism?” – Current tourism acceptance study & outlook on the new plan T

In 2024 Statistics Austria was carried out for the first time a comprehensive survey on tourism acceptance. In four quarters, a representative sample on the perceived effects, the importance of tourism and the subjectively perceived number of tourists (volume) was interviewed.

The results provide an insight into the tourist mood in the country and provide an important basis for the further development of the Austria tourism location.
