House of Mercy wins gold in the HR Award for the DACH region

At this year’s HR Awards, the House of Mercy was able to convince the expert jury with its current employer branding campaign “Ich hb Freude”. The campaign was awarded gold in the prestigious “Employer Branding” category last Wednesday at the Vienna Hofburg. The HR Awards, which honor the most innovative ideas, projects and personalities in the HR industry throughout the DACH region, are among the most important awards in the field of human resources.

Participatory campaign with a focus on appreciation

The award-winning campaign was developed by the creative agency stroblbinder with the involvement of employees from all professional groups at the House of Mercy. The aim of the campaign was to provide an authentic and positive impression of the diverse job profiles in the field of long-term care and support in order to appeal to potential applicants and strengthen public perception of the profession. “With this award, our colleagues in nursing and care receive important recognition for their valuable work. “They do great things every day for the quality of life of our residents and customers,” says Maria Hämmerle, head of communications and fundraising at the House of Mercy. “We are very pleased to receive this award, which shines a spotlight on the achievements of our team.”

Verena Kreitner, Head of Human Resources Development at the House of Mercy, emphasizes the importance of the award: “With the campaign we want to appeal to our employees and applicants with their professionalism and with their expertise, experience and ideas. They are excellently trained specialists who work every day in a systemically relevant professional field with a lot of empathy and commitment. The award of our campaign by the top-class jury fills us with pride and confirms our path.”

The focus: joy, expertise and freedom

The employer branding campaign “Ich hb Freude” focuses on values ​​such as joy, experience, expertise, character, ideas, energy and freedom. These values ​​reflect the multi-professional collaboration of the more than 1,900 employees who work at the House of Mercy. A special feature of the campaign was the participatory development process: the employees themselves were actively involved in identifying the strengths and values ​​of their daily work and incorporating them into the campaign’s communication.

The campaign was played out across a wide range of media and channels, including out-of-home advertising, display ads, social media, a video campaign and numerous internal measures. All of the House of Mercy’s recruiting measures are accompanied by the campaign’s core messages and reinforced by targeted media focuses. The Linz creative agency stroblbinder was responsible for the development and implementation of the campaign. She has previously supported several projects for the HB, including designing the brand identity of the children’s care home “FRIDOLINA” and the temporary housing offer “das waberl”.
