Hisense supports Austrian youth ski racing

Vienna (OTS) –

Vienna, January 23, 2025 Austrian youth ski racing is an important pillar for young talent and the future of ski racing in Austria. With its sponsorship, Hisense is sending a strong signal to promote Austrian youth ski racing. With targeted support, the company wants to help create optimal conditions for young athletes – and thus lay the foundation for a successful future in skiing. The commitment includes cash and non-cash benefits with the aim of supporting young talent on their way to the top. Hisense currently supports children’s and youth ski races in Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Salzburg.

Youth skiing in Austria faces major challenges: whether investing in training infrastructure, providing high-quality equipment or organizing competitions, to name just a few. The requirements are diverse and costly. This makes the support from partners like Hisense, who actively contribute to promoting young talent, all the more important.

With targeted sponsorship services, Hisense supports children aged 8-12 and young people up to 21 years of age as part of the Lower Austria Talent Cup in Lower Austria, the Energie AG Young Talent Cup powered by Hisense in Upper Austria and the FIS Youth Cup in Salzburg. In total, Hisense sponsors more than 40 races (see race calendar in the appendix).

“We are very pleased about the partnership with Hisense Austria, a company that, like the Salzburg State Ski Association (SLSV), stands for excellence and innovation. This collaboration enables us to better support our athletes on their way to becoming the best in the world and at the same time sustainably promote skiing in Salzburg. Together we focus on quality and progress. This cooperation is a great benefit both for our young talents and for the entire association,” says Bartl Gensbichler, convinced of the cooperation with Hisense.

“In addition to the financial support of the racing company and the participating clubs, we would like to emotionalize the aspiring Olympic champions with our high-tech products. I was involved in youth sports myself and I still remember the pride and motivation that came with every award. We want to create more than trophies for the showcase – it’s about long-term motivation and enthusiasm,” says Andreas Kuzmits, Managing Director of Hisense Gorenje Austria, explaining Hisense’s commitment to youth work.

At the upcoming Ski World Championships in Saalbach Hinterglemm, Hisense is the official supplier of the Home of Snow, which the leading TV company will exclusively equip with large TV screens.

Hisense is one of the world’s leading consumer electronics and home appliance brands. As a premium manufacturer, Hisense’s goal is to further expand its innovation leadership while being a leading technology company to deliver practical solutions and products that improve everyday life and exceed consumer expectations
