For the fifth time, light in the dark writes the Herbert Pichler Inclusion Media Prize to honor excellent reporting with a focus on inclusion and thus to honor the great achievements of Herbert Pichler, to the president of the Austrian Disability Council, which was torn out of life in April 2021.
The submission categories include television, radio, print media and digital media/podcasts. The contributions must between August 1, 2024 and July 31, 2025 have been published and deal with essential aspects of inclusion or the UN Convention on the Rights of Disabilities.
The written submission can until October 31, 2025 through organizations, clubs, media companies, journalists or through jury members to mediapreis@lichtinsdunkel.org. The Herbert Pichler Inclusion Media Prize will be awarded to the award winners in spring 2026. These are awarded a certificate and prize money of 3,000 euros per category. The prize money is borne by sponsors.
