St. Pölten (OTS) – The state spokeswoman and club leader of the Greens in the Lower Austrian state parliament is pleased with the respectable result of today’s election, despite difficult conditions: “Although we are currently still talking about a preliminary forecast, the trend allows us to congratulate Lena Schilling and Tom Waitz. They will be important voices for climate and nature protection in the European Parliament – topics that are particularly important for Lower Austria. The Greens started this election campaign on a high note, and the predicted crash due to the turbulence did not occur thanks to the many people who voted Green today and for whom climate protection is a matter close to their hearts. This turbulence must now be thoroughly analyzed and evaluated in the coming months.”
