Heat protection in healthcare – secure care, minimize risks
Vienna (OTS) –

Heat waves increase in intensity and frequency – with far -reaching consequences for the population and health system. The burden of heat primarily affects vulnerable groups such as older people, chronically ill or toddlers and can have a great impact on the therapy of sick people.

Due to the increasing challenges due to heat waves and the health care of people in the summer months, the Ministry of Health, Pharmacists and Environmental Medicine work in a close tuning. New approaches and measures have arisen that are presented as part of the press appointment.

With:

  • Korinna Schumann, Federal Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection

  • Ulrike Mursch-Edlmayr, President Austrian Chamber of Pharmacists

  • Heinz Fuchsig, work and environmental physician, environmental officer of the Austrian Medical Association and Chairman-Deputy. HealthForfuture
