Vienna’s high quality of life is directly related to it, ”emphasizes Personnel City Councilor Jürgen Czernohorszky. “For healthy and motoved employees, however, the right framework is needed: With the ‘House of Health’, we create a new comprehensive center that summarizes all offers for the physical and mental health of our employees!”
Personal Director Cordula Gottwald adds: “With their work, our employees secure the quality of life of the Viennese population – and we want to contribute to strengthening our colleagues’ health.”
The new “House of Health” is being built on Schlesinger Platz and will combine all services of the occupational medicine center of the health care center of the City of Vienna (KFA) and the headquarters of the KFA: This is sufficient for advisory agencies, which specifically support certain departments – and support offers of the occupational psychologists or health -promoting offers from the team for occupational health promotion such as movement units, workshops and lectures. Own health roads and health days are also developed for departments.
Christian Meidlinger, chairman of the Younion _ The existence union: “The city of Vienna takes care of its employees – this is now becoming even more visible with the new ‘House of Health’. It is also important because the stresses of the colleagues are increasing. The federal government should take an example. Because savings in the healthcare system lead to far higher follow -up costs. Vienna thinks differently here – and that’s a good thing. “
Norbert Pelzer, General Director of the KFA: “There are hundreds of job profiles in the city with a wide variety of stress. The ‘House of Health’ has the clear goal that the resulting diseases do not arise at all. I would like to thank the City of Vienna and everyone involved to implement this great project. ”
The future “House of Health” on Schlesingerplatz will be renovated in 2025 and will be ready for all city employees from mid -2026. A total of 12 million euros will be invested.
