Hans Knauß shows “Vienna – City of Diversity” in “Austria at its Finest” on June 12th

Out and about in the federal capital on ORF 2 and on ORF ON

Vienna (OTS) “Austria at its finest” is the motto again on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 2 and on ORF ON: Hans Knauß is a guest in Vienna this time and is looking forward to exploring the city of diversity. The program includes famous sights and lesser-known places, experiences with history, tradition and innovation and of course a lot of creativity and encounters with great people.

Hans Knauß quickly sets off on his journey of discovery on the “Toboggan”, the oldest wooden slide in the world, in the Prater. Other highlights of his tour through the federal capital include the Brunnenmarkt, the Augarten Palace, the Leopold Museum and a historic pharmacy cellar as well as the Gloriette and the Marionette Theater in Schönbrunn. Viewers will gain special culinary insights during Hans Knauß’s visits to a snail factory and a vinegar brewery. Of course, the cosiness of a Buschenschank and the special features of Viennese coffee house culture should not be missed.

The Tanzgeiger, the Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln, the Vienna Tschuschenkapelle, the Vienna Boys Choir, the ensemble “Divinerinnen”, Hojsa & Hojsa and the Police Music Vienna ensure the musical diversity in this “Austria at its best” edition.

The show can also be seen live and as video-on-demand on ORF ON at on.ORF.at.

“Austria at its finest: Vienna – City of Diversity” is a production by the ORF regional studio Styria. Elisabeth Eisner is responsible for writing and directing.
