Two of the most important elements of demographic change are the aging of society and population decline. Both will have an impact on both the labor market and health care in the coming years. On the one hand, with a larger proportion of older people in the total population, fewer workers are available. However, a growing number of older and old people also means that there is an increased use of health services. The financing of services in the area of the labor market and health care depends directly on whether there are enough employed people in the system.
