Klagenfurt am Wörthersee (OTS) – On April 16, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for a sustainable residential property at Gendarmeriestraße 2, 9073 Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. New living space is being created here on an area of almost 10,500m² of living space. Just a few minutes from Lake Wörthersee and in the immediate vicinity of Klagenfurt city center.
The HANDLER Group, which comes from Lower Austria, is building 78 privately financed condominiums in its function as project developer, builder and general contractor. Immediately next to it, 93 rental apartments are being created by HANDLER on behalf of Oberösterreichische Versicherung AG.
During the conception, great attention was paid to first-class equipment, comfort and convenience. The factors involved in creating a sustainable property were taken into consideration right from the start. The residential complex will be built according to ÖGNI Gold criteria, which distinguish a particularly sustainable property.

In addition to project partners, neighbors and people who have already registered for the properties, Klagenfurt’s mayor Christian Scheider and the marketing partners also took part in the project launch ceremony. The Rustler Kärnten brokerage team and the Klagenfurt brokerage firm Constant Real Estate Group have been involved as sales partners since the start of the project. The finalization of the construction phase is planned for autumn 2025.
