Vienna (OTS) – After 13 years as a leading international consumer protection agency for raising awareness about internet fraud, false reports, computer security and promoting media literacy, as well as as an observatory for disinformation and social media analyses, Mimikama – association for raising awareness about internet abuse – is expanding its field of activity with the introduction of Greenkama.
This new, dedicated platform for environmental awareness and climate protection marks an important milestone in our history. Given the urgency of climate and environmental issues, we decided to channel our extensive experience and expertise into this crucial area. Therefore, Greenkama was split off from the existing Mimikama.org website as an independent initiative www.greenkama.org established.
With the combined expertise of the Research Mimikama team, we are ideally positioned to strengthen our commitment to climate protection and to raise public awareness of the importance of the topic.
„With Greenkama we are opening a new chapter in environmental journalism. Our goal is to educate and raise awareness of climate and environmental issues. We firmly believe that sound information and clear facts are the key to inspiring and motivating people to actively participate in solutions for our planet.
” –
Tom Wannenmacher, founder of Mimikama.org

Greenkama stands for education about climate change, checking environmental information and strengthening ecological media literacy. As an independent platform, Greenkama guarantees a neutral and unbiased perspective, free from government or corporate influences.
„As editor-in-chief of Greenkama, it is particularly important to me to create a platform that not only informs, but also inspires action. Our goal is to make the complexity of climate change understandable while identifying practical, actionable solutions. Every contribution counts and through our work we hope to foster a community of engaged citizens committed to a more sustainable future.
” – Sonja M. Bart, editor-in-chief of Greenkama.org
The initiative not only offers articles and analyses, but in the future also workshops and educational materials to make knowledge accessible and strengthen media literacy in the environmental sector. Greenkama works with experts, organizations and engaged citizens to create positive change.
Greenkama’s goal is to be a trusted online destination where people can turn to get trustworthy information and get involved in climate and environmental protection. Greenkama wants to contribute to a sustainable society that strengthens, informs and inspires democratic action.
