How committed the people of Vorarlberg are to the good cause can once again be seen this year in the donation result for “LIGHT INTO THE DARK”. With the impressive sum of around 460,000 euros (as of Christmas Eve), a unique fundraising success was achieved.
Three and a half hours of live TV
The ORF-Landesfunkhaus Vorarlberg in Dornbirn was the focus of the “LIGHT IN THE DARK” television programs on ORF 2 V over the Christmas weekend. On December 23rd and 24th, ORF Vorarlberg broadcast a festive three-and-a-half-hour special program to raise donations for “LIGHT IN THE DARK”. to collect. The live broadcasts were moderated by Kerstin Polzer and David Breznik.
Commitment to ORF Vorarlberg
The ORF Radio Vorarlberg campaign week “10,000 Kilometer Challenge” moved the people of Vorarlberg in the truest sense of the word, because three euros for every kilometer covered ultimately went to the “LIGHT IN THE DARK” donation account. This was followed by the ORF Radio Vorarlberg donation day for “LICHT INS DUNKEL” at the end of November, where listeners were able to request their very personal favorite hit in return for a donation. In addition, numerous major donors from the Vorarlberg economy contributed generous sums. The three-and-a-half-hour TV programs brought in additional donations, which this year brought the impressive sum of 460,000 euros for “LIGHT INTO THE DUNKEL” from ORF Vorarlberg.
Emergency aid fund and Jupident Foundation
The donations for “LIGHT IN THE DARK” in Vorarlberg this year will benefit the emergency aid fund for families and children in need and the Jupident Foundation. Children, teenagers and young adults with special needs are supported here. The Schlins-based organization, which operates nationwide, provides a temporary home, provides orientation and security and supports learning for life, work and living. Around 150 children, adolescents and young adults are currently cared for with inpatient and day-care services. Jupident sees itself as a supporter, protector, advocate and bridge builder for young people in order to enable them to live as self-determined and barrier-free a life as possible.
